In late 2003 I left a comfortable life in Nova Scotia, Canada for a very uncomfortable existence in The Gambia. Many months before, I was accepted into VSO Canada's internship program called NetCorps. I stayed in The Gambia for five months teaching undereducated women computer skills and building the country's main hospital's (RVTH) web site in order to assist with funding.
What started off as a personal blog evolved into a controversial diary and information site for visitors to The Gambia. This blog contains all of my views (good and bad) about the country, the culture and the colonialism that still exists today.

FishingFury
I am engaged to a very passionate fisherman, and because of his patience I've learned to love fishing. I am a vegetarian, and am against killing and eating fish, but I do enjoy the sport tremendously. I wrote an article for FishingFury about how to get girls to fish. |
